Construction is underway on Process Machinery's nearly $11.5 million Shelbyville expansion, the company said in an October 28 update describing its manufacturing operation.

The project is expected to add more than 28,000 square feet, including manufacturing space and a new paint facility, and create 30 full-time jobs. Those remain the company's projections; the update does not say the added space is open or that all 30 jobs have been filled.

The new account gives a more current view than the October 2025 groundbreaking announcement. That earlier state announcement described a three-phase project expected to finish by the end of 2026. The October 28 company post says construction is underway but doesn't give a revised completion date.

PMI manufactures equipment and structures used in mineral processing. Its account describes engineering, steel fabrication, blasting and painting at the Shelbyville facility, with welders, structural fitters, CAD technicians and engineers among the jobs involved.
