Residents can drop off canned food at Simpsonville Fire and Rescue’s Station 1 through Thursday, Nov. 5, to help a drive aimed at Shelby County residents in need.
The station, at 121 Citizens Blvd. in Simpsonville, is collecting donations for the Waddy Ruritan Club’s Bluegrass District Convention Food Drive. The department says its goal is 500 cans.
The fire department says the collected food will be delivered to the Shelby County Extension Office for distribution to people in the county.
