Shelby County magistrates are scheduled to consider a $146,061 bid to replace the detention center's fire-alarm system at their Tuesday, November 3 meeting.

The Fiscal Court agenda lists the proposal as the sole bid for the replacement. Special Projects Director Willie Lucas is scheduled to present it. The agenda does not identify the bidder or give an installation timeline.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. Eastern at the Shelby County Courthouse, 501 Main Street in Shelbyville.

Magistrates are also scheduled to hear a presentation about an ARPA grant project at Red Orchard Park and consider allowing Shelby County EMS to seek bids for a remount of its Med 7 ambulance. The agenda does not list a cost for the ambulance work.

These are items scheduled for consideration; the agenda does not establish that the court has approved them.
