Drivers crossing Clear Creek on U.S. 60 in Shelbyville continue to use the Washington Street bridge in both directions while the Main Street bridge is replaced, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's traffic report for the week of Oct. 25.
The cabinet lists the eastbound Main Street bridge closure from July 6 through Dec. 18. It expects the replacement bridge to open Friday, Dec. 18; that is a projected date, and the agency says its traffic advisories can change with weather or other circumstances.
Elsewhere in Shelby County, KYTC lists possible daily lane closures at KY 55X and KY 43. That intersection project is substantially complete, with final work remaining.
The cabinet's District 5 Roadshow carries updated construction notices. Motorists should follow posted traffic controls through the work zones.
