Shelby County voters can cast an early ballot without an excuse Thursday, Oct. 29, through Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Shelbyville Conference & Welcome Center, 219 Seventh St.
The Shelby County Clerk lists voting hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Those hours apply to early voting at the conference center.
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, with polls open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time. Voters should check their Election Day polling place through Kentucky's Voter Information Center, which also provides registration information and the status of a requested absentee ballot.
For voters who already requested a mail-in absentee ballot, the State Board of Elections says the county clerk must receive it by 6 p.m. local time Nov. 3. The regular online request period ended Oct. 20.
The clerk's office can answer local voting questions at 502-633-4410. The state and county election pages provide the current schedules and a link to the polling-place lookup.
