Simpsonville Elementary celebrated the completion of its renovations on Aug. 4, with a ribbon cutting and tours of the school, according to Shelby County Public Schools.

The district announcement included photographs of the new front exterior, offices, gym and a teacher’s lounge in the former courtyard. Board member Joanna Freels cut the ribbon as school and community representatives gathered outside.

The district credited the Board of Education, Studio Kremer Architects and Trace Creek Construction, along with school staff and families, for the project. It described the renovation as an investment in learning spaces and campus safety.
